I use both Outlook and Express. With Express, Attachments show in the
preview pane and in the opened email without opening them, In Outlook, they
only show as attachments. How can I change this? I have searched
everywhere I could think to search! HELP!!

Thanks,

nichole

You can't. That's the way Outlook works.

If it is a photo or graphic, you can insert it into the body of the email in
Outlook. Just make sure under Tools/Options the Mail Format tab has your
messages set to compose as HTML. Then when you compose a new message, just
choose, Insert/Picture/From File.

That won't help with attachments received, though, which it sounds like the
OP wants.

it is, thanks. i figured that was the case, but someone told me that a
coworker has her outlook set to view tham inthe preview pane. thanks a lot.

The OP is asking about received messages, not sent messages.
