I just installed Outlook 2003 and when I view a .jpg attachment to a
message, Outlook always uses Quick View Plus as the viewer even though I
have another program set up as the default to open .jpg files.

How can I configure Outlook 2003 to use my default program instead of QVP?

Thanks,
Tom

You need to uncheck the option in QuickView Plus to view
your .jpgs.

I have changed the settings in Quick View Plus so it is not integrated with
any other application, including Outlook, but it is still what Outlook is
using to view .jpgs. There's not any other option that I can find to
uncheck.

Diane,

That's what I thought too. My default application, that the old version of
Outlook used too, is Macromedia Fireworks.

I shift-right clicked on a .jpg file in Windows Explorer and said to always
use Fireworks to open .jpg files and have opened and closed Outlook 2003
multiple times but it still uses QVP.

I don't want to uninstall QVP because it's handy to have to open unknown
file types, which is the only thing I have it set to do now.

be the same outlook uses. It might help to restart outlook, unless you

Diane,

The default program I have set for opening .jpg files is Macromedia
Fireworks. I have even gone into Windows Explorer to make sure "Always use
this program" is set to Fireworks.

I have restarted Outlook many times and it is still using QVP.

are there any options in QVP that specifically associate it with all outlook
attachments?
