You need to save your homework assignment as an Access 2000 database (the
default format). It can then be read by either Access 2000 or 2002.

Your school should have computer lab where you can do your
homework in the correct version. Alternatively, you should
be able to get your instructor to save the database in
access 2000 format so that you can do it at home.
If all of that fails, upgrade to access 2003 and save your
homework in a format that they can't read ... that'll
fix 'em.
