I have a friend who is editing a Word document and before saving he is
changing the toolbar choice from the "final showing markup" to "final" and
emailing it to me. Yet when I open the file it is always in the "final
showing markup" mode with all the editing visible which I don't want. The
same thing happens if I try saving that way & reopening. Is there any
setting on either his machine or mine that might cause this? Neither of us
have this problem with other people although he uses Word much more than I
do. We are both using Word 2003.
