Hi,

For the sake of archiving, I'm going to take a daily-used folder, which
I'll call "Folder A", and rename it "Folder A thru 12-25-05". I won't
write to it again, and then back it up to DVD and a few other places,
and won't do another full backup for awhile. I'll create another folder
and call it "Folder A", and start filling it up.

I'd like to view the contents of both of these folders in one window.
Is that possible?

Thanks

Hi,

Open My Computer and navigate to the first folder. Do the same for the
second folder and size the two to fit the screen.

Or right click the taskbar and choose the option to tile the windows
horizontally or vertically.

Thanks, Folks............but that's not what I'm looking for. I use
"tile windows horizontally" often, but what I'd like is one WINDOW, not
one screenfull. The only thing Windows does similar to what I'm
thinking of is show all files in one window when search results are
displayed.

For instance, if I have a photo named 001.jpg, and it's in 5 different
folders, I can have all five files displayed in one window, and in
thumbnail view if I choose, when I do a search for that file. That's
what I'm aiming for with the different folders for archiving, since I'm
leaving copies of the archived folders on the hard drive. I'd like the
entire database to show up in one window for the sake of convenience,
that is the contents of the archived folders along with the contents of
the current folder.

Of course, they wouldn't and couldn't EXIST in the same folder, but I'm
hoping they could be viewed that way.

If this can't be done, then it's no big deal to use the folder tree
pane on the left, and click each folder with the view set to
thumbnails.

Thanks,

GS
