Actually there is a way, but it involves having a program on your computer
that will record sound. Roxio Record Now 9 has a very basic system, but Sony
SoundForge 8 is one of the best, being a professional application. You set
SoundForge to record while playing your video. When complete, you can save
the audio in most formats, including mp3.
This is the way I recently put the audio of a Roy Orbison dvd into an mp3
format. I have to say it takes a bit of practice to make sure that everything
is set up correctly, but it can be done.
