Video's not playing on External monitor

So I have a quicktime video file embedded into a slideshow
and can view the video on my Laptop, but not the external
monitor. The other slides show up fine and I can hear the
sounds...
any suggestions?

Out of interest...how did you get the quicktime to play in powerpoint
and what version of quicktime is the video clip using

So I just called my user to suggest these tips to her, and she said that by
toggeling the screen (Fn & F7) she was able to see the video on the screen.
Weird thing is, before she did this, she was already able to see the
powerpoint program on that screen ( and everthing else for that matter), just
not the video.
Go figure.
thanks for your suggestions though, I will keep them for future references.
