Videos in Power Point

I have a PPT presentation with several MPEG videos in it.
They are working fine on my XP Professional laptop. I have
purchased a better computer but it uses XP Home. I placed
these videos on the new computer but they won't play in
the PPT presentation on the new machine. (I am using the
PPT that came in my Office 2000 Premium bundle.)They play
fine on the new machine in the windows media player. ????
Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I have 2 (2004) Toshiba laptops

with XP Home Edition. The one with PowerPoint 2003 will
not play some mpeg (probably mpg3) files while the other
with 2002 PowerPoint XP will play fine. Microsoft has not
been able to address this problem.
