I'm using Vista with nvidia graphics s/w. When I play Spider Solitaire, my
monitor screen blacks out and I get a message that nvidia s/w crashed but the
system safely has recovered. This is happening since a recent s/w update. Is
anyone else having this problem? Thanks.

it may be that the software update is not compatible and is affecting other
applications even though it may appear to run correctly what was the software?

The nvidia s/w was one of the updates I automatically receive from
Microsoft
updates.

First, the drivers from the manufacturer are usually more up to date than
the drivers from Windows Update. I'd set my preferences to alert you to the
update but allow you to choose which to install. Click Windows Update in
Control Panel and click Change Settings in order to accomplish this.

Now, I'd suggest you check the nVidia website and see if they have Vista
compatible drivers later than the ones installed on your system and if they
do, install those according to their installation instructions.

if it worked ok before the update then uninstall the update or roll the
driver back it wont be the first time that an ms update didn't work as
intended
