Scott

I hope someone can answer this easily.

I want to place video's in PP presentations but want to know what is the
most versatile compression format. Is there a starndard format that alows a
good compression that is built into windows as standard, even for previous
versions. I don't want to have to include codec installe etc in distributed
packages.

Thanks.

Scott,

In short a true MPEG1 file will play on most windows systems without installing anything.

Second choice is an AVI file with the common codec (the ones that are installed on older PCs, do not give the best
quality/compression)....but they are probably installed... So like I said MPEG1.
