video cd creator

I am trying to create a Video CD with Nero using a bunch of MPG files
to watch on TV. I have done this before with different files and a
different burner, but for some reason I am getting error messages
during format conversion.

I thought I would try CDBurner XP Pro, but am unable to find if it can
create that kind of disc. Does anyone have other choices.

You could try VCDEasy - last free version from
http://www.321download.com/LastFreeware/page10.html#VCDEasy

*But* if the mpg files are not VCD compliant changing from Nero will not
help.
VCD has a tight specification
Video: 1150 kbit/sec MPEG-1 352 x 288(240 NTSC) pixels 25 (29.97 NTSC)
frames/second
Audio: 44100 Hz 224 kbit/sec MPEG-1 Layer
