hi, i was wondering is there any way i can determine what video card i have
by accessing my computer? maybe in the SYSTEM PROPERTIES? thanks

Or Device Manager.
 
Aside from Device Manager and System Information:
Everest Home Edition(Free):

1) Start > Run > MSinfo32.exe.

or

2) Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information

or

3) Start > Run > DXDiag.exe.

or

4) Right-click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager.

Start> Accessories> System Tools> System Information> Components>
Display.

Should tell you what card you have.
