My desktop is ~ 3 yrs. old, has its original video card
(3dfx voodoo), which I think is 16mb. Will upgrading this
card to a 64mb or higher give much benefit? Don't play
many games, just do the standard stuff - WIN XP, Word,
Excel, PP, web, mail. Thanks.

Not really. Your computer is about at the end of its useful lifespan at
this point. You can get video cards now with 32 MB of memory for about
$40.00 if you are still thinking about upgrading the card.

If you do not play too many of the newer games, the only benefit is to get a
current supported video card into your system. 3DFX went bankrupt years ago
and there are not been a driver update from them since. Third parties have
tried to create decent XP drivers but I do not now how successful these are.

Sorry Mikey, didn't mean to respond to you only.
Mikey I couldn't find any and installed Trident. BTW 64MBs and anything over
2X may well cause problems with an older motherboard. Allen, please note.
