Can anyone help me? When trying to upgrade from ME to XP, I keep getting a
conflicting issue message from XP when it runs the setup report before it
will actually load XP on to my system. It keeps saying that setup has
detected an incompatability between your (my) video card & computer's
mainboard. I have an older M/B (Gigabyte GA-5AX, rev. 4) and a Diamond V770
TNT2 video card (both are a bit dated but I would think should work) with
all the drivers loaded that I could find off the web for XP, but I cannot
get past this stupid message to load XP Pro. Any ideas anyone....? Thanx
in advance.

Spend $200 or so and buy a new, fast mobo/CPU of your
choice.

Hi;
Your Gigabyte GA-5AX IS NOT LISTED AT ALL in the Windows Catalog.
It's a 1997 issue after all and served you well for quite a few years..
There are over 130 different models of GA boards in it but NOT yours.
Probably means that no one yet has successfully INSTALLED then REGISTERED
Win.XP using it.

Guess you're out of luck with that one.

Consolation: the Diamond V770 TNT2 is compatible.
