Video card confusion

I was looking up prices on the video card I want (ATI Radeon 9800Pro) and
found it, but I'm noticing that there is also an ASUS Radeon 9800 series of
cards available. Are these different cards? Would an ASUS card work better
on an ASUS MB?

Not necessarily, but ASUS makes excellent video cards. If you can get one at
a good price I would jump on it.

The Pro chipset is better than the basic 9800 chipset. Make sure you
know what you're actually getting.

So ASUS is making their own video cards using ATI's chipset?

ASUS makes both flavors, ATI and nVidia ;-)

that's the difference between "powered by ati" and "built by ati". sapphire
is another popular choice that's much cheaper than the built by ati cards.

Just visited ASUS. A nice turn of events! The Pro card with 256! Isn't
competition a lovely thing?
