Hi All
Can anybody help me please!, I have just bought a JVC video camera and I
can't download my video to my computer.
I have windows XP installed, i bought a board that goes into the computer
for a firewire,and lead but still can't download .
Anybody got any ideas how I can get round this problem

Many thanks
Paul

I'm not sure about your case, but usually there's a driver that you
need to install for your camera before you can use it on the machine.
Check JVC's site for one.

You may also find that there is a setting on the camera to allow USB
Streaming.

You normally find with a digital video camera that you can use it as a
webcam or you can use it to play back the Tape/DVD using something like
moviemaker and use the Aquire option under the file menu. But you would
have to use this option in conjunction with playing the movie back on the
video camera screen as if you were reviewing it.

Thanks
Glen

If you bought the camcorder retail and new, should have come with a CD
provided. The software on the CD should have two different things. One for
exclusive control and setup of the camcorder. Second, some rinky dink
software for viewing your recorded video. And maybe a third for viewing and
saving still pictures in some obscure file format.
