Hi,
For the second tme I encounter the same problem: a folder in my folder list
just disappeared with ALL the emails inside. This time it is very very
serious, since the file is my bank accounts. I did nothing I am aware of. I
use Outlook XP.

Can you please tell me what happens and what to do to retrieve them? If I
can't it is terrible.

Thanks a lot.

Hi There,
We need the following information in order to help:
1) Email environment (Exchange, POP3, etc.)
2) Any error messages/numbers
3) Any troubleshooting you have done

Have you checked to see if the folder has been dragged and dropped into
another folder? Have you checked to see if it was dragged to your deleted
items? It would become a subfolder of deleted items. Are you using a PST?

The Personal Folder File (.pst/PST) is the place where Outlook stores its
Data when you're using Outlook without Microsoft Exchange Server. Each
Personal Folder Filel contains all of your Outlook folders, including Inbox,
Calendar, Contacts, etc. You may have a single PST file (usually called
"Internet Folders" or "Personal Folders" in your Folder List) or you may also
have an additional or several additional PST files. One may also be a PST
file that you use to archive messages (named "Archive Folders").
If you back up your PST file(s), you back up all your Outlook information:

Just the other day I had all downloaded messages as well as my contact list
on the left side of the screen. I shut off my computer one day while in
transate with my lap top. The following day I turned my computer on. I
clicked "outlook" icon on my desk top like I have hundreds of time. I got a
flashing on the screen and cought the words, "NEW DATA BASE" from that point
on, I only got two days of emails, no contact list to put saved emails. Do
you have any sugestions how to find the lost data of downloaded emails?
