When I select a message on Outlook it takes a while to show the message in
the preview pane. Even if I want to open the message in full view is takes
long to open. I all our PST files on a local server and it is just with this
one computer that I have this problem. If I log in at a other computer and
open Outlook with the same PST file on the server is ok. What can be the
problem??

Outlook 2002? Disable the Messenger integration; Tools-> Options-> tab Other

Also note that storing pst-files on a networkshare is not recommended or
supported by Microsoft.

I noticed the exact same thing was happening to me. Is your task bar hidden?
Mine is and i noticed when i clicked on a message to read and moved my mouse
down to the bottom of the screen, the message was now displayed!! Try this to
see if it works for you!

Ok, I moved the PST file to normal local directory and Disable the Messenger
integration and it is still slow. Now is I mean slow it is one to two maybe
three minuets. Ones in a will it suddenly works 100% then boom snail speed
again. HELP

Does the same happens when you use Outlook in safe mode?

Yes, open and closeting of a message is a big problem for me. Even starting
and sending new a message. It is as if message templates or something is
corrupt and it is a new computer.
