very slow accessing programs

hi i have just recently loaded xp but im having lots of problems with it,it sometimes runs at an incredibly slow pace ,just like now , ive tried using help and support but windows discovered an error in the program,it seems that every second time istart my pc it goes semi slow and takes ages just to open up the start menu,i would appreciate some help as i am a novice , thanks

I've been having a similar problem. For the past
week, I've had to reboot my system in the morning or else
it just runs so slowly as if it's almost frozen (I leave
it on so I can connect romotely).
We have our SBS set up so we can connect to
our network remoteley, but have been unable to do so.
Both of these occurances started about 5 days ago.
Any ideas?

Set Up:
server - Win Small Biz Server 2003
client - WinXP Pro
