vertual memory

[bakhit]

i have noted that all of a sudden my computer began to
run very slow. i also receive a message that my computer
is low on vertual memory.
i am a beginner with a very low knowledge of these
matters so can you please help me to fix this problem

Try this,start--right click on my computer--properties--

advance tab--settings button on the performance section--
advance tab--under virtual memory click the change button-
-XP says it should be set at 1.5 X the amount of Ram you
have,but sometimes thats not enough,if you don't want to
ever have a problem with it again,put the circle it the
dot by system managed size--click OK--click apply--click
OK--then restart your computer.You'll never see the
warning again.
