I am trying to have one specific word vertical (it is the name of the
document I am typing ), while everything else in the text box is horizontal,
but I am having trouble. It needs to be a footer, on the left side of the
document. Is this even possible?

If someone could help me out, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

You might try inserting a text box in your footer, then only put the vertical
word in that text box; leave the other words in the original text box. The
vertical-word text box itself can be moved anywhere on the page, in- or
outside of the footer.

Use a two (or more) cell table instead - adjust the orientation of the text
in the cell as required and set the borders to give the appearance you want.
This can go in a footer and a footer can be anywhere on the page.
