Vertical Nav Button Text alignment in FP 2002

When I align text left, the text goes right againt the edge of the button.
How do I insert a margin of a couple of pts. I can do this with Link Bars by
adding spaces before the text but for general nav levels I can't find any
settings.
 
Put your nav bar in a table (single cell for a FP nav bar webbot) , and set the table cell spacing or padding
