Vertical lines not printing.

I put vertical lines into my report using the method suggested here:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q151543/ and they look great in the print
preview, however when I try to print, they dissapear.

Sometimes very thin lines do not print, depending on your printer and its
driver software. Try making the lines thicker to see if they print. Try
visiting your printer's website and installing the very latest drivers. I
had a similar problem in the past, and solved it by downloading and
installing updated printer drivers - YMMV.
They also dissapear when I export to any format.

Exporting to most of the available formats does not support the graphics.
IIRC, if you use Adobe Acrobat* and "print to" it, the graphics are included
and, alternatively, save your Report as an Access Report Snapshot, get the
viewer for your users, and I believe the formatting is preserved.

* there are less-expensive, even free, alternatives, but I haven't
used them and can't say what their capabilities are.

Unfortunately, neither exporting to snapshot nor adobe worked. Thanks
anyway.

All of those still depend on your printer driver. Have you tried a different
one?

I had this problem. Exporting to Word gives an rtf file which doesn't export
lines. I got round it by creating a pdf file using a pdf printer driver
(Adobe Distiller) and it printed just fine

I tried downloading the drivers and using distiller and it didn't work,
so I decided to just make every row the same height by setting the
detail section properties to Can Grow: No and Can Shrink: No. The
vertical lines show up, print, and export, but now it won't let me have
horozontal lines. Any suggestions?

Try making the lines another dark color. I had this problem years ago
with various HP printers and changed the vertical line color to Cyan
and it worked properly. Do not ask me why, but it worked.
