I am creating a system based on win2K or WinXP. For licensing reasons, I
would like to use the Windows XP home for these systems. The computers will
be running 24/7 in an unattended enviroment, and I can not have the
activation feature preventing the systems for running in the event of a
failure.

I would like to use Windows XP (over W2k) for the firewall functions, and
"Home" version to save licensing costs.

Also, I have a copy of WinXP-Pro (Volume-License) that doesn't require
Activation. Is there such a version for HOME as well?

Thanks for any help in advanced....

Only Windows XP Pro can upgrade over Windows 2000.
The installation of XP Home Edition will require a
"clean install" on a reformatted drive.

Only XP Pro is available in volume license versions.

Also, you'll need a new license (Product Key) for each
installation of Windows XP installed on a different computer.
