version number

hello

i really need to know what version of win.xp i have.

well in the system information it is listed as version
5.10.2600 service pack 1, and in system properties it is
listed as version 2002 service pack 1

does anyone know what version win. xp i have?
i have the home edition.

any info. would be appreciated.

You have Windows 5.10.2600 SP 1 and Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002 service pack 1. The two terms are synonymous.

There is only one version, and that's the one you have (with SP1
installed). The terminology may be confusing but the names are
equivalent.

2002 was just a marketing gimmick for the boxes. You have the only
version of XP (Home) with Service Pack 1.
