I have two disks that I see as different volumes. I was wondering if their
was a way to view them as a single volume, so I eliminate the need to switch
between them.

Do you mean see/view in explorer or do you mean actually combine the hd's in
a stripped array, as in Raid?

Hi,

You could convert to dynamic disks and span across them, but there are other
risks involved with doing so, including potential loss of data.

They are currently set as master and slave with the slave nearly empty and
everything saving to the default master but I don't want to pick and choose
which programs to save to which drive so I thought it would be easier to view
them as one in explorer or more accureately if the computer used them as a
single drive. I am curiouse about this other option you present, the
stripped array. What did you mean.

You cannot do what you require:
A striped array would likely be unsuitable for you, as would spanning, even
if you had the required hardware.
All App installations default to the C: drive, you need to custom install
them to the drive you want
With some apps you can set a default data folder.
You can move the My Documents folder to a different drive. rt click My
Documents > Properties > Move

Theres usually little need for the casual user to access files via explorer
