System Acer Aspire laptop XP SP2

This machine of my daughters takes an age to finally finish booting. It
hangs there with just the wallpaper but no icons drawn on the desktop
for about 90 seconds, then it will complete the drawing of all the icons
on the screen, I.E my computer, recycle bin etc. Anyone got any idea
what loads just before this event? I have unchecked items listed in
msconfig to try and find the culprit but to no avail, i've disabled
network hardware etc. I'm wondering is there a utility program that the
more enlightened can recommend that logs what is loading but more
importantly HOW LONG it is taking to load. The 90 second delay should
make it easy to I.D the culprit. This I'm sure will give me the answer.

Many thanks in advance,

Double click each of the icons in the Notification area and look for where
in the options to tell it not to run at Startup.
