Dell computer with XP pro, goes to a blue screen with a red random line
vertical fiving error in file VDMT16.sys, with memory info, and system
dump. File is in c:\windows\system32 and if deleted, recreates itself within
minutes. Anothe file is VDMT17.sys. They are dated 8/18/2001, 7 am.

What are these and why the error. I cannot get it to run except safe mode
for more than a few mins. Also, it first gives a dialog box saying "internet
Explorer has recovered from a serious error" and asks to send to Microsoft,
but IE is not even running.
