Vanishing messages

When reading e-mail using Outlook 2003, I use the "download inbox headers"
function, mark the list according to whether I wish to read or delete
messages, and then use the "process marked headers".

Until a couple of days ago, all was well. Now, even messages I clearly mark
for download are being deleted before reaching my machine. This happens with
different ISPs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,
The mails might be vanishing bcos of a rule created in outlook.
Just check if any rules are active.

I didn't think to let there 'cos I've never created any rules. Anyway, I've
checked just in case, and there are none at all, so it isn't that.

Hi dave,

Well, I too have started to encounter the same problem. All worked fine
then as of today when i recieve an email as son as i switch to another folder
it is gone. Not in the deleted box or anything. Just gone. I have to check
the rules thing but like you, didn't set any.

Hope we can solve this one since it makes it tought to manage emails.
