I'm importing data from access. For some reason my values
are not seen as values. Even if I format them. When I try
to perform a calculation it doesn't exactly work(though it
sort of works, which is weird). When I export, I use the
Excel 97-2000 format & click the 'save formatted' option.
They do not have a ' in front of them, so they're not seen
as labels either. I can't figure this one out, can anyone
help?

Hi baz

when you right mouse click on the numbers & choose format cell - what is
selected in the format type under the numbers tab?
if it is text then one way to change your numbers to numbers is to type a
number 1 in an unused and unformatted cell and copy it, then select your
"numbers" and choose edit / paste special - multiply.

Let us know how you go.

Hi baz

would a edit / replace where you replace 0 and leave the 'with box' blank
(don't forget to choose entire cell contents under options) work?

The "Right" way to accomplish this revision is to use a *blank, empty, new*
cell, and copy *that*.

Then, in "PasteSpecial", use "Add".

That way, empty cells stay empty!
