Looking for some advice please.

I am getting the message "Microsoft Pro Edition 2003 - Validation Failed.
The product key used to install Office has been blocked by Microsoft".
I am still able to download and install updates, so no problems there.
What does the message mean and do I need to do anyting to correct it?

It means that other people have used that key and Microsoft has blacklisted it.

What to do depends on where you got it. Did you buy it? Is it an original, retail copy with a holographic certificate of
authenticity?

If so, then you'll have to contact Microsoft for advice. They'll probably grill you a little to figure out how others managed to
get your key, but if you can convince them that you didn't share it and provide them with proof of purchase, they'll probably send
you a new key.

If you don't have a legit (legal) copy and you paid for it, then contact Microsoft and tell them what happened. If you help them
stop the shop that sold you an illegal copy, they may give you a free one.

If you have a bootleg copy and didn't pay for it, then you're out of luck. Count your blessings that you got away with using it for
free for as long as you did. You could try asking for a new key or something in some piracy boards/forums, but they are pretty
rare, so I doubt those who do have working ones will be too eager to share them.
