Validation Lookup Performance

I have a client who has a database with users who log into the network using
VPN. They need to do extensive data entry that must be validated. The
person who originally developed the database used many combo boxes that load
from tables.

I am concerned that data entry will be slowed because the form will need to
communicate with the tables every time a combo box is selected.

Is this a valid concern? If so does anyone have any suggestions as to how I
can validate more efficiently?

It depends on how fast your network is.

If that VPN is a wide area network..then you have to change things:
