Validating input - checking for html

Does anyone have a good method for checking user input to be sure they
haven't entered html code into a text input field?

Regular Expressions is a good method. You could attempt to parse the entire
thing, but that would be overkill when Regex can catch patterns. Exactly what
the person entered wrong will require a bit of parsing, however.
