v07 cell shows formula string literal not value returned from formula

Hi, I've used excel before but not version 2007. I have entered a
formula, starting with an equal sign. Formula is not enclosed in
quotes and the cell only displays the formula, not the value returned
from the formula. WTF?? In all previous version, I had no problem
display the results of the formula. Is there something new in 2007
that I am missing? Please help.

I've had that problem in 2003 before (haven't used 2007 yet), and the
problem was the cell format was Text (under Format > Cells | Number >
Category). Using Text format with a formula isn't a good idea.

Otherwise You have to do a find & replace for the formula to show.
