V Foxpro 5 install problem

Trying to install my Visual FoxPro 5.0 in new 2000 set up I
get the message: "The configuration of the ODBC Microsoft
Excel Driver (*.xls) driver failed". The CD installation
setup program than says installation failed and quits,
leaving the program unusable. FP.exe apparently not
extracted. What might this be related to?

I'm running on an ASUS P4P800 motherboard with Intel P4, 2.
6MHz.
