Hi,

We are doing a windows 2000 to XP upgrade using SMS. On some machines, we
are getting USMT failiing with errorcode 1. After this fails, the upgrade
aborts. I can't seem to fiure out why the scanstate is failing (considering
50 others work with the same commandline).

Would there be something else i could disable in the INF or a command line
swicth to make the USMT continue dispite these errors?

From the USMT log:

Info Command line used: "\\CAL171\SMSPKGD$\0000037F\scanstate.exe"
/p
/compress- /i:.\usmtdef.inf /i:.\migapp.inf /i:.\migsys.inf
/i:.\miguser.inf /i:.\sysfiles.inf /i:.\migism.inf /ui:35 /o /f
/s /all /l:c:\Minint\SMSOSD\OSDLOGS\usmtestimate.log
c:\Minint\SMSOSD\OSDLOGS\usmtestimate

Error Can't copy object
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Common\Assistant\[CurrAsstState]
to temporary storage [ERROR=123 (7Bh)]

Module Error An error occurred while saving data. Can't continue. [ERROR=123
(7Bh)]

Adding /c will force scanstate to continue, ignoring non-fatal errors.
