Using XP without a mouse

I have some questions about using Outlook Express when my mouse in on the
charger.

I have a wireless mouse that I'm quite fond of. Unfortunately, it needs to
go on the charger for an hour now and then and it doesn't always happen at
time that is convenient for me, i.e. overnight. That means that I have to
use the computer without my mouse for a while.

I know the basics of using OE without a mouse but there are a few things
that I haven't figured out how to do yet.

1. How do I scroll _QUICKLY_ down a long list of threads in a busy newsgroup
without the mouse? The down arrow gets me through the list eventually but it
can take a minute or more sometimes, even though I'm holding the down area
key constantly. Is there a faster way?

2. How do I sort a newsgroup list without the mouse? I can't figure out how
to get to the column titles and then sort or reverse-sort on a given column,
like Sent or From.

3. How do I click on a link in an email or newsgroup post with no mouse?
 
1. Try page up/page down instead of arrows

2. Alt+V, Alt+B....then arrow to sort preference.

3. Open the message (not just the preview pane) and then you can tab to the
links and hit enter to open it.

Page down is rhe best I can think of.
