Using XP Professional edition can I run 2 programs at the same time
using 2 monitors? Yes/No
How?

Thanks,

Of course. Your computer can run many programs at one time. You need a
graphics card (or cards) that can handle two monitors, though.

Yes...
and once setup...
you can click and drag the application over to the other monitor

Laptops are good for this. You have one screen builtin, and you have a
monitor port for an external monitor. My roommate has his Acer laptop setup
this way. It was nice because he could drag a program from once screen to
another, or have it split between the two. Moving the mouse to the other
screen was easy: just move the mouse off the side of the screen... it would
appear on the other screen. Right or left depending on which settings.

thank you firth. I was also wondering if XP Professional was needed vs.
XP Home edition to run multiple programs.

thank you MadDog. I was also wondering if "XP Professional was
specifically needed" vs. XP Home edition to run 2 programs at same time
on 2 monitors.

Ok, heres the deal, have my computer hooked up to my TV, and i want to
be able to run games on one screen and IE explorer on the other. I'm
halfway there, I have my game up running on my TV and IE on the Moniter
but when i click IE the game minimizes and vice verse. So my question
is.. is it possible to play both without them minimizing into the
taskbar?. Or a program that will allow me to do this.

I'm running windows XP, have a gig of ram, nvida 6200 vid card and a
duel core p4 3.0
