I've just bought a new computer with 80 GB of HDD and when
I started using it I found out that it has only two
partitions; partition C with seventy someting GB and a
second partion of only 38 MB. The OS I'm using is XP Home
edition. Now I want to repartition the hard disk to have 3
partions to be able to dual boot XP with 98 is there a way
to do that? Thank you

If this version of XP came preinstalled on the system, that 38MB partition
was likely configured as the recovery partition by the manufacturer.

You will need a third party program to repartition the drive.
