I too have problems with the Word and Outlook bundled in Office Standard
2007. In my case the envelopes option will not load a address from outlook
without crashing Word with the message "MS Office Word has stopped working".
I've run all the trouble shooting software but all reports are OK andI ahve
updated all the software. THis is a pretty basic feature that seems not to
work in Office Standard 2007.

Any suggestions?

Is Outlook your default e-mail application?

No it is not my default e-mail application. Does it have to be? If so how
do I change it to be my default e-mail? Thanks for the help.

The insert address function requires Outlook to be the default e-mail
application. Set it in Windows > Control panel > Internet Options >
Programs.

I did what you suggested and it worked. Thank you so very much Graham. Thank
you for taking the time to help me with this.

Graham, I was wondering if it is possible to make the contact folder in
outlook the default folder that is displayed when I open outlook. Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean - for Outlook questions, ask in an Outlook forum.
