Using Reply to Forward

We have some users who, for reasons unknown to me, when they want to forward
a message, click on Reply, then change the To: field from the sending address
to the person they want to forward to.
Sometimes that works, sometimes they get an IE Script error. Why doesn't it
work all the time?
 
What's the error and what version of Outlook are they using? Also, you might
want to reinforce the difference between Reply & Forward...
