Using recall in Hyperterminal in XP

Consoling into a Cisco product, we are unable to recall
the previous commands using the up and down arrow keys.
The Cisco equipment has been setup for this feature. It
will work from telnet, but not Hyperterminal. It works
on Windows 2000 machine with the same devices, but it
does not work on XP.

XP's Hyperterminal is messed up! Copy your

Hyperterminal files from a 2000 machine and BE SURE to
get them into the same folders. This has fixed the
problem for us. Several of us have had to do this.
