I just uploaded Office 2003 onto my new computer and loaded the .pst file
from my old computer into Outlook and deleted the default .pst. I redirected
Outlook to deliver to this .pst, but when I attempt a send/receive, I get a
message stating "The operation failed. An object could not be found."

Does the old PST have read access?
I'd use a new default PST with Unicode support for Outlook 2003 and see if
you can open the old PST. Import or copy into your new PST.

BillR,

Thanks! The old PST does have read access. I can open and view all
messages just fine.

I don't understand how to create a new default PST w/Unicode support. What
my intent was when importing my old PST was to have new messages delivered to
my Inbox in the old PST.

via the mail icon in control panel - create a new profile with anew default
PST and start with that profile. I'd run scanpst on your old PST then try
and open it and copy over.

BillR,

Thanks! Such a long delay in replies as my family has been in the midst of
a move. I did as you suggested and created a new profile--am now able to
receive messages just fine. I scanned my old PST and moved it over as well.
The only thing I can't seem to do now is send mail.

The undeliverable message reason states "none of your email accounts could
send to this mail recipient." I've checked my setting and can't seem to find
a problem.

Often caused by failure to authenticate to the outgoing server. Look on the
"Outgoing Server" tab of your account properties pages.

Brian,

Thanks for the info! I had to change my outgoing server settings and that
fixed the problem.
