We have some friends coming to visit us for about a week. They are bringing
2 young teenage children with them.

I would like to add temporary passwords to my family accounts to prevent any
unauthorized explorations into our accounts.

I don't want to leave the passwords in place after they leave.

How can I clear the passwords and go back to the simple login process?

All help is appreciated.

If you really don't want any unauthorized explorations, then I would
suggest you don't let them on the computer. To set passwords for your
current accounts - go to the Control panel - User accounts and set a
password. To remove it later, simply reset the password to be blank.

If you plan on allowing them to use the computer at all, even though
your login accounts may require a password, they will most likely still
be able to see most of your files depending upon where they're stored.
Even if they're not browsing your hard drive, there's no telling where
they might go on the internet - If the computer is not in a public
place where they can be monitored, I wouldn't allow them access.
