Using Outlook today inbox

Is it possible to download e-mail from an IMAP/SMTP account directly into the
Outlook Today Inbox? I thought that I could change where the mail messages
where sent in the account properties but there is only one option, personal
mail folders, in the drop down box. If I cannot send the dowloaded messages
to the Outlook Today e-mail, is there a way to customize Outlook so the
program opens to my IMAP inbox? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in
advance.

If you're using a PST as your default delivery location, then Outlook
Today's Inbox _is_ your Personal Folders' Inbox.
