Using Outlook - 1 user 2 locations

We are attempting to set up one of our management team with a remote
secondary computer. He would like to have his Outlook Mail synchronized
between the locations (they are networked) and I initially intended to share
the data files between the two computers from a single location. However, I
continue to see references to how this may "corrupt" the files. Is this a
real risk with a single user? Any suggestions concerning the best way to do
this would be appreciated. Note that this is not a power user so the need
for any extra processing on his part will void the viability of the solution.

It's hard to say without knowing the version of Outlook or the type of mail
account.
