We have Office 2000. Users without admin rights on
workstations (both 2K and XP) can't use the organizational
chart feature. When I log on with admin rights everything
works fine. Does anybody have a solution short of giving
elevated rights?

Personally, I don't think much of PPT2000 Org Chart anyway. You can get much
better results with text boxes and connectors (from the autoshapes menu).
You'll find there is much more scope to be creative and flexible, you can easily
move objects abouot because the connectors follow them and so on.

Yes. Your users need read and write permissions, but not delete permissions
on certain files/folders. See the part about Org Chart permissions at

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Thanks for offering your personal opinion on the product feature, but thats not what I was asking and doesn't help me much with a VP that wants to use Org Chart, NOT do it with drawing tools.
