Hi, when I bring a document from home to work, and edit it, it produces a red
underline underneath the newly typed text. Why is it doing this and is there
a setting I can select somewhere that will disable this feature, etc.

Thanks

You have Track Changes turned on. Turn it off, then Accept All Changes in
Document.

You are tracking changes in the document. You need to accept all the changes
in the document, and turn off the tracking - both of these can be done from
the Reviewing toolbar - Accept All Changes in on the menu dropdown beside
the Accept Change button.

The 'track changes' setting must already have been on in the document, so
it's likely that you are tracking changes in other documents you have
created at home - but you are not seeing them because you don't have the
revision 'mark up' showing. Word 2003 always opens showing mark-up if
changes exist, to save you from accidentally recording changes in your file
and sending things you thought you had deleted out in your documents (some
people in high places have been embarrassed by this <g>).
