I just installed MSO 2003. I was able to set up my e-
mail account and my wife's. However, it has combined our
mail boxes. Is there a way for us to sign into Outlook
separately? Do I need to purchase Exchange?
Thank you for your help,
Jim
If you are using a [more] secure version of Windows (i.e., NT-based
versions, like Windows NT4, 2000, or XP), just define separate login
accounts for both of you. Each accounts gets their own profile under
which application data gets saved and has persmissions that allow only
that user and administrators to get at the user's profile path.
If you are using a non-secure version of Windows (Windows 9x/ME) then
you have to use mail profiles. Use the Mail applet in Control Panel.
Do not select a default profile so you get prompted when Outlook loads
to select a profile. I believe you can still password protect a profile
to keep other users out of your e-mails, but it's been too long since I
use a 95-based version of Windows.
