using internet explorer

when i try to click on the internet explorer from my desk
top,it says cannot find server,the page cannot be
displayed/how do i get on the internet using internet
explorer from my desk top?

Somehow or another you will have to arrange for a network connection
from your computer to the internet. If you think your machine is
already connected, then the problem cause probably is that the nework is
down, or the configuration is flawed. without more info, not much more
I can offer.
